When the wind blows and the rain comes where do we go? Hinchinbrook Island. We’ve sat out bad weather here several times. But for five days? On our own. Arghhh … how will we fill in our time??
After our stopovers at Magnetic Island and Townsville we decided to sail on to the Palm Islands and enjoy a few days around Hazard Bay on Orpheus Island before venturing out to the reef. Yes, another reef window was approaching!
At last … calm weather … which means a reef window! We seemed to have had an endless amount of very strong south easterlies this season. So it was exciting to finally see some reef weather approaching in the forecast. The anticipation!
It’s always special when family visits. This time it was our two grandchildren, Ava and Olive, along with their parents … of course … crazy to think we could look after a 2 and 5 year old on our own and on a boat!
I love a good coincidence. I love the story, the pure chance and the curiousity. I’m hooked. There’s a warm fuzziness about coincidences. That feeling that sometimes things are just meant to be.
